No one ever shares that first draft. Well, maybe some people do but that’s a rare occurrence. When you want to do something, when an idea is pushing to come out, what you need to do is put it out. That first version is for you to see what the idea really is, what it’s trying to be. However, it won’t come out if you don’t take responsibility and finish that first draft. However, you should know that the first draft is only the beginning and you have some more work to do.

When shit hits the fan, we might be tempted to wallow in self-pity. I understand it hurts but what will help is focusing on the solution. Right now, I’m in shit yes but what can I do to get out of it? Who can I reach out to? What skills do I have that I can use in this situation? Focusing on the solution has a way of bringing positivity while focusing on the problem only compounds the problem.

Whatever is trending in your world now might not be in the next few weeks or days or hours so don’t always jump on the “new thing”. Do not fall into the FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) trap. Take time to think things through and make sure it fits your bigger picture before you get on board. Now, if it’s something you feel strongly about, jump in hard but still exercise caution. That said, don’t let “hype” guide your decisions.

We all have things we believe in and live our lives by, or at least say that we live our lives by. The thing that we usually find out is that this isn’t always the whole truth or true at all. There are people that show a version of their lives on social media but if you spend time with them, you realise they are different in person. We should always know that our actions define us. We are what we do so if you claim to have a philosophy, let your life, the way you live it prove that you do have that philosophy.

The last couple of months have been difficult for everyone but we are still here and even through that difficulties, there are still positives that have happened. I am a glass half full type of person and I always look at the positive in every situation. No, I don’t ignore the not so good part, I acknowledge it, yes but I focus more on the good part, the bright side. It is a beautiful way of living and it has made my life a lot better.
