Life has been hectic the last few months but you know what, we are here and we have to make the best with what we’ve been dealt with. Choose Your Own Adventure means you decide what you want to do with your life. It’s up to you to decide what you will do with your life. Now your work hours are set, you’ve told your people, I work these hours and they know it. Yet, there’s always going to be someone that will reach out outside work hours wanting you to do some work. It’s up to you to make sure they understand you don’t work outside work hours. Now, understand you might lose work by teaching people you don’t work outside work hours but remember work will continue whether you are here or not. So make sure you make time for yourself to rest.

PROMPT: When was the last time you worked outside work hours?

If you have a day job, you pretty much have set hours. That might be out of your control but you need to make sure you respect your work hours. If you have said you work between these hours, or if those hours have been set for you, make sure you keep work within those hours and once the time is done, boom, let work go. Remember, you need to rest because if you don’t, it will cost you.

We don’t know where inspiration will show up from so we have to be open and willing to accept the inspiration that comes our way. I’ve learned that I tend to be more inspired while I’m working. Like the inspiration doesn’t just show up. Nope. I’d have to be doing some work and boom it hits me. But that’s me. I do know that inspiration comes from so many different places so we have to stay open to receiving.

PROMPT: What was the outcome of your last inspiration

If you keep showing up, there’s a very good opportunity that you’ll get what you are aiming for. Now showing up sounds easy but it isn’t. It gets difficult to show up with every rejection you get but if you keep at it, there is a very good chance you will get to your goal.
