When you are given an opportunity to rebuild something, make sure the work you put in is deep work and aim to build something better than was there before. It might feel daunting but once you have your intentions set and you are willing to do the work, take things one step at a time, bit by bit and before you know it, you’ll build something remarkable.

PROMPT: What are you currently building back?

If you want to keep the amazing thing you’ve built going as amazing, even more so, you have to make sure you have a solid succession plan in place. When you’ve defined your succession plan, everyone involved will know the role they are playing and will do what is needed. Without a succession plan, it should not be a shock if something awesome crumbles.

PROMPT: What’s your succession plan?

There is risk in almost everything we do. However, there are some risks that are not worth it while there are others that are. We just have to decide how much we are willing to risk for the potential reward. That said, we should also keep in mind that not every risk taken will end up in receiving a reward.

PROMPT: What essential risk, did you take today?

We all have things we believe in and live our lives by, or at least say that we live our lives by. The thing that we usually find out is that this isn’t always the whole truth or true at all. There are people that show a version of their lives on social media but if you spend time with them, you realise they are different in person. We should always know that our actions define us. We are what we do so if you claim to have a philosophy, let your life, the way you live it prove that you do have that philosophy.

PROMPT: What is your philosophy?

Willpower will fail but design will stand. When you expect willpower to help you through a rough patch or making good decisions, there’s a possibility of things going south. However, once you put the design in place to build the life you want, you fall back to that design and things go as you want and you make good decisions.
