Wherever you find yourself, make sure you bring positive change. Sure don’t just jump into the fray. Get to know the situation, the people, expectations and then get to work. The goal is to make a difference, a positive one and it doesn’t have to be something massive, it just has to be something good.

PROMPT: What was the last difference you made?

The attention economy  is alive and well now. It’s easy to get a bullhorn and scream “look at me”. There’s nothing wrong with that. If that’s what you want, go for it. However, people’s attention span is so tiny that they’ll forget you sooner than they discovered you. Rather than talk about yourself, let your actions speak for you. Share the important work you are doing and let it speak for you.

PROMPT: How do you pitch yourself without talking about yourself?

The decisions you make are going to become the habits you have. This is a good thing because if you have a habit you want to change, you just have to change your decision. It isn’t easy but if you take deliberate action, you can get it done. It will be slow but just stick to it. Keep making the decisions you want to make, hopefully, positive ones. Bit by bit, you’ll create the positive habit you want to create.

PROMPT: What new decisions are you making?

There are stories of people that only hit their prime in their late 40s and 50s. In fact, there are some that do that even older so do not be dismayed if things you want don’t happen at a certain time. Keep pushing. Keep doing the work and in time, you’ll reap those reqrds. Remember it’s never too late as long as you are alive and well, you can go for that goal you want to achieve.

PROMPT: What was the last thing you completed? How long did it take?

No matter how dark it gets, hold on and keep pushing because the light is just around the corner. It might be difficult. Every part of your body might be screaming for you to stop and stay engulfed by the darkness but don’t. Keep pushing. Keep moving forward and you’ll get to the light. Once you get to the light, the darkness goes away.
