One way to strengthen your business is to have a defined “Only I …” sentence. Only I do “x” and make sure X is something that gives value. When you have that x, work on it, fine-tune it so it gets even better as time goes. When people know you are the person to reach out to for X, that reputation grows and that’s a good thing.

Curiosity is important. We should be comfortable with asking questions and one of my favourite types of questions to ask is “What If”. I get to play different scenarios and think things through. What if things don’t go as planned? What if things actually work perfectly? What if? What if? What if?

PROMPT: What “What If” question will you ask yourself today?

There is this misconception that wealth means a person is virtuous. Sure some might be but it isn’t an automatic indicator of virtue. Know the person and don’t let the wealth blind you.

PROMPT: What are you doing to increase your virtue?

Letting go is difficult. Saying goodbye can hurt but more often than not, when we let go of things, when we say goodbye, we give ourselves an opportunity to grow. It’s scary but you should not be afraid to let go and say goodbye.

PROMPT: What was your last goodbye? What growth did it lead to?

When we make comments, or present or speak, we have to make sure the audience understands us. We have to make sure they don’t try to look for a meaning that isn’t there. We have to be clear with the point we are trying to make.
