Whenever I’m at a place or with people I can learn from, I turn into the kid that asks “why, why, why, why?!”. I want to learn as much as I can so I stay curious. I listen. I take it all in. I let it soak and enjoy every opportunity I get to learn. There’s nothing wrong with saying “I don’t know”. I really don’t know and I’m not going to pretend that I do. How will I learn if I do that?

PROMPT: What was the last thing you learned?

When you start any venture, you are solving a problem. As soon as you solve that problem, you’ll move forward to another level where you’ll have to solve a different problem. A good indicator of success is having different types of problems. It’s like a video game; the bosses in Level 10 are way difficult than those in Level 1 but you will be better equipped to deal with them. The new problem just says, hey, you did well, you did great, you’ve learned a lot, well, it’s time to learn something new.

PROMPT: What was the last problem you replaced? What’s the current problem?

It is important to build bridges, to build connections between people. It is a good place to be when people see you as that person that connects others. It’s super simple to do. Just think of the people in your life that share those things in common and then introduce them. That’s all. They will take it from there. The beauty of building bridges is that you never know when the bridge might come in handy and if you never have to use it, the joy is still received from others using that bridge. It’s a beautiful thing.

PROMPT: What was the last bridge you built?

The world is always in motion. Change is constant. A solid plan today might crumble tomorrow. The one sure way to be able to handle things is to stay agile. As long as you are nimble and agile, you can quickly change things around to accommodate the things life may throw your way.

PROMPT: What tested your agility last?

We shouldn’t take every opportunity that presents itself. There are some opportunities that just won’t work and we should let them go. It isn’t always going to be the right time or the right place so we should get comfortable with saying “thanks but I don’t think it’s the right fit now”. Not every opportunity should be taken.
