Lesson 330: Embrace Weak Ties

Lesson 330: Embrace Weak Ties
We have strong and weak ties. Strong ties are those with close affinity, family, loved ones and weak ties are acquaintances and people we might know in passing. We might be tempted to take weak ties in passing but we shouldn’t because we never know what might come from a weak tie. The key is to be open, to listen and to be available when you can. Let them know they matter and make them feel good.
PROMPT: How do you maintain the bridge with your weak ties?

Lesson 329: Think About Their Experience

Lesson 329: Think About Their Experience
We, I, sometimes do this thing where we give gifts that we love without considering the person being given the gift. Sure you like that thing and it might be a reasonable gift but it isn’t really thoughtful since they might have no use for it. It’s a good idea to learn what they love and get them that or even ask directly what they’d love and give them that. It’s super thoughtful and it builds stronger bonds. Always think about their experience of the gift when you are gifting.
PROMPT: Write down 10 things you do solely for your partner.

Lesson 328: Pair Design Your Relationships

Lesson 328: Pair Design Your Relationships
There is a cool post I read and this is a lesson from the post:
If you want to make a relationship work, thrive, grow, last, you should take time to pair design the relationship. It’s as simple as writing down things that are important to you both and seeing where they align, then working on doing those things more.
PROMPT: Create some time to write down 100 wishes each then see where your wishes overlap.

Lesson 327: Be With Them If You Can Live In Their World

Lesson 327: Be With Them If You Can Live In Their World
If you can’t stand the person, then do not get into their world.  I know a lot of people believe opposites attract and maybe they do but I believe a key ingredient in making a relationship work is to have a number of things in common. If there are key basics you can’t stand, that might be a good indicator that the relationship won’t last. If you can’t start them, why would you torture yourself by being with them?
PROMPT: How do you choose the people in your life?

Lesson 326: Keep Learning

Lesson 326: Keep Learning
My grandmother is a fan of learning and no matter the experience I had, she would ask me if I learnt something? As long as I had a lesson or lessons from the experience, it is never a loss. As long as you are breathing, stay open to learning and embrace every opportunity to learn something new. It is good for your existence.
PROMPT: What did you learn today?
