Have you set out to do something, gotten a group together, and end up frustrated because it feels like they are not as committed to the task as you are? Sucks right? Well, what you need to understand is this, people are almost more interested in their thing (whatever that thing might be) than your thing. It goes both ways too. The thing that is super important to you might not be as important to others and that’s it.

PROMPT: When was the last time you discovered that just because something means a lot to you, it doesn’t mean much to others? What was it?

One thing my mom always says is to never make decisions when you are angry. If you are angry, take some time out and calm down, think things through before you make a decision. Almost every decision you make while you are angry will be the wrong one and that decision might cost you a lot! When you are angry, don’t make decisions.

I suck at letting people go and so I tend to stretch relationships longer than they should. This is something I am working on because I know that when a relationship is done, it’s done. We should all just let go and move on. It makes life a lot easier for everyone involved if we let go and move on.

PROMPT: Do you find it difficult to drop friends that you know are bad for you? Why?

It’s a great idea to start strong in everything you do. However, even more than the beginning, you have to make sure you end super strong. I believe the ending matters even more than the beginning because that sticks with people a lot more. Plus endings are really difficult to accomplish so if your ending is good, you will definitely stand out.

When you have to start anything, make sure you put your best foot forward! I believe that the stronger you start, the better it is in the long haul. When you start strong, you build awesome momentum that will keep you going through the project. It also feels good to start strong. Give it a shot and you’ll see.
