I did talk about how expensive time can be. Well, there’s a neat calculation that can help you quantify that. Once you know how much your hour is worth, it will help you prioritize the actions you take in your life. If the thing you are doing isn’t worth your hourly pay, or doing anything to build towards your goals, cut it out right away then go and do the thing you are meant to be doing that will lead you to your goals.

Sure you get paid by the hour but you know what time always moves forward so if you have set time to do one thing yet use it for something else, there’s a great chance you won’t have time to do the original thing you had planned out to do. This piles up and it gets expensive. Guard your time and use your calendar religiously. If it’s not in the calendar, there’s a very good chance it won’t happen.

The people in your life matter a lot. They are there when you need them, they give you advice and you believe they have your back… mostly. However, if we just let anyone in, we might end up in a bad situation. I believe that to let people in your life, you have to make sure that they have passed certain criteria. Respect your space and don’t let everyone in.

I believe we should take some time out and spoil ourselves. First off, we know the things we love and when we’ve worked for it, there’s nothing wrong with doing something nice just for you. Go splurge a little. All that work you’ve done has led you to the harvest, so enjoy it.

Family is important. They can get under your skin. They can tick you off. They can irritate you but at the end of the day, family is family. Remember, family isn’t just your biological or immediate family; family in this case are those people you’ve chosen to accept as your family biological or not.
