Lesson 268: Know When To Speak Up

Lesson 268: Know When To Speak Up
There are times we have to speak up but there are also times we need to stay quiet and listen. The issue arrives when we flip the two and speak when we should be listening or vice versa. It takes a lot of learning and growth to know when we should speak up or stay silent. However, once we know when we should speak, we should speak up and when it isn’t time, we should stay silent.
PROMPT: Have you spoken up when you really shouldn’t have?

Lesson 267: Learn to stay silent

Lesson 267: Learn to stay silent
The world is noisy and we have to make time for ourselves to stay silent, to embrace the silence too. It helps us grow. It helps us see things in a better light plus we all need that quiet.
PROMPT: How comfortable are you with staying silent?

Lesson 266: Don’t Use Your Teeth

Lesson 266: Don’t Use Your Teeth
There are some rules of thumb that we all have for different things. What matters is that you don’t push it on others and be comfortable with tweaking it as needed. For instance, don’t use your teeth is one I use and it works in certain situations but not in others. I need my teeth for steak but not for some other situation.
PROMPT: What arbitrary rules do you have?

Lesson 265: Travel Light

Lesson 265: Travel Light
I used to suck as a traveler when it came to packing.  I’d travel for a weekend but would pack as if I was going away for a month. It was a difficult lesson to learn cos I’d go to my destination and barely use any of the items I packed and maybe even paid for. I took a trip traveling with just a carry-on and it was such a satisfying experience. When I travel now, I go with as little as possible and it makes life a lot easier.
PROMPT: What are the essentials you pack when you travel?

Lesson 264: Kill Envy

Lesson 264: Kill Envy
Envy will keep you from growing. When someone has success, rather than let envy overwhelm you, learn to celebrate the person. Once Envy creeps in, it gets dark from there and you might find that even with success way beyond what the other person had, you won’t be satisfied. It’s best to celebrate people’s growth.
PROMPT: How do you handle feeling envious?
