Lesson 105: Die Empty

Lesson 105: Die Empty
There are so many awesome things within you, go ahead and share them with the world. Listen, as human beings, one thing is for sure, we will all die. Most people regret things they didn’t do so reduce the level of regret you’ll have on your deathbed by doing the things you want to do. One thing we should all do is have a “Before I Die Journal” but we shouldn’t just write in the things we want to do before we die, we should actually do them. Prompt: Before I Die I Want to…. (create a Before I Die journal) #LessonsWithAKing

Lesson 104: The World Owes You Nothing

Lesson 104: The World Owes You Nothing
Entitlement will lead to your downfall. Whenever you feel entitled to something, take a step back and analyse it all, reflect on how lucky you are to be at that stage but remind yourself you are not entitled to whatever that thing might be. Sure you can work for it but you should not expect the result you want to always be the case. One more thing, don’t expect anything from anyone, work for everything you want. Prompt: How do you handle when you feel entitled? #LessonsWithAKing

Lesson 103: Goals Are Means Not Ends

Lesson 103: Goals Are Means Not Ends
Do not see your goals as the end of the journey. When you achieve the goal, it should be the building to another goal. Stacking goals is an amazing approach to accomplishing more than you ever imagined. Give it a shot. Prompts: When was the last time you achieved a goal that led to another goal? What were both goals? #LessonsWithAKing

Lesson 102: Practice Reinforcement Learning

Lesson 102: Practice Reinforcement Learning
My love for learning is from my grandmother. Don’t get me wrong, lessons and indeed learning might not be fun but the more you practice, the easier it gets. Reinforcement learning is essential learning by trying and iterating. Try something, learning a way not to do it, adapt, try again, on and on and on. Prompts: What was the last thing you learned? How did you learn it? #LessonsWithAKing

Lesson 101: It Can Always Be Worse

Lesson 101: It Can Always Be Worse
There’s a poem by Keanu Reeves titled “Ode To Happiness”, you can Google it. It’s super sad but it’s super powerful. The premise is, essentially, no matter how bad shit is, it can be worse. I know there are many people that won’t accept this lesson or feel comfortable about it but that’s ok. I do know that when shit happens, it’s easier to handle and to focus on learning the lesson and moving forward because I know well, it could totally be worse. I’m starting something new moving forward by having each lesson have prompts (things to do and/or questions to reflect on). Here are today’s prompts: What’s the worst thing you are experiencing now? What could be even worse than that? #LessonsWithAKing
