Lesson 76: Put Your Back Into It

Lesson 76: Put Your Back Into It
If you want it, you must be willing to work for it. It just won’t fall into your lap, nope. If it does, it isn’t as impactful anyway, so why would you want that? It is important that you do the work because if you wish for something and sit on your behind, nothing will happen. To bring your dreams to reality, you have to be willing to work. #LessonsWithAKing

Lesson 75: Do That Art Thing

Lesson 75: Do That Art Thing
I can’t draw or paint for shit. I try but meh. I find it funny when people that can draw go … “oh, drawing is so easy, you just have to practice”. Maybe. But I have practised and my stick man looks a mess! That said, I do believe we are all artists in our own right. There are things we love and we love making that could be seen as artistic. It could be cooking, singing, writing, learning; that thing we can do that brings smiles not just to us but to everyone else that sees it is our art. We should make it and make lots of it. #LessonsWithAKing

Lesson 74: Go Big

Lesson 74: Go Big
When you are given the opportunity to, make sure you go big. By going big, what I mean is this: go just a bit extra than expected. Opportunities are not  #LessonsWithAKing

Lesson 73: Sit Down

Lesson 73: Sit Down
We do so much. We are always on. Phones. Emails. Zoom meetings. On and on. What we need to do from time to time is to take a step back and sit down. Yup, in some cases literally but I mean more taking the time to rest and breathe. We need to relax because going all out is a fast track to breaking down. So yeah, go fast but make sure you take time off to sit down and gather yourself together. Rest. #LessonsWithAKing

Lesson 72: Someone Or Something Is Always Watching

Lesson 72: Someone Or Something Is Always Watching
I always feel like, somebody’s watching me… remember that song? Well, we live in a world where if anyone wants to and they have the time, resources required, they can keep you in constant surveillance. Our phones are pretty much tracking devices, yet we can’t live without them, right? Well, we have to accept this is the world we live in now. So what do we do? Go dark? Toss your phone? Stay off the internet? No. I believe we should just live our lives with the knowledge that everything we do is public and we should be comfortable with who we are, our truth. It gives you such ease of mind. Try it and you’ll see for yourself. #LessonsWithAKing
