When you are given the opportunity to do something, do it as well as you can but I would advise that you go even a step further and do just a little bit more. When you do that you blow their mind and you will end up being the first person that comes to mind when they need something done. It might start with a small opportunity but when you deliver amazing extras, well, don’t be shocked if you get even greater opportunities. #LessonsWithAKing

We set ourselves up to fail sometimes when all we do is try to keep up with the Joneses. We don’t know what is going on in their home yet we want to make sure we have the same care or same, whatever it might be. We try to live a life that is beyond our means. What we need to do is aim up and compare down. Aim up for awesome goals that will make us grow and compare down when you want to. I am to run a studio. I compare myself to someone that is using the bus while I drive. Focus on your growth and forget the rest. #LessonsWithAKing

We are always being sold to and marketers understand psychology which they use against us. They know just how to entice us to buy things we don’t need. Hey, buy this because if you don’t, this special deal will be gone. We buy it for the “deal” but if we think it through, we’ll realise we didn’t need it in the first place. What we should do is take our time to think things through before we buy them. In fact, it’s better if we only buy what we need and ignore those “deals”. #LessonsWithAKing

It might seem like a good idea to have a life where everything goes just the way you want, all the time, always. But do you really want that? A life where you can’t learn, where you can’t grow? I think a better approach is to accept life, in all its forms whether it’s sunshine or rain. It’s ok to celebrate your win. Remember you’ve put in an amazing amount of effort to get to where you are. I’m pretty sure if people had an idea of the amount of work you put in to get that win, it would discourage them to even try. However, you put in the effort and you’ve gotten that win, so celebrate it. Now there might be some reason why you can’t celebrate on time well, you should go ahead and celebrate when you can no matter how late.  #LessonsWithAKing
