Lesson 197: Find Silly Things That Make You Laugh

Lesson 197: Find Silly Things That Make You Laugh
Laughter is good for your soul so whenever you can, find things that make you laugh; especially the tiny silly ones. When things go grey, when days are gloom, I find that laughter has a way of warming things up and making the days brighter. We live in a time where we can reach out to our phones and find cute videos that bring smiles to our faces. I love it and I have my go to videos when I need a laugh.
PROMPT: What silly thing made you laugh today?

Lesson 196: Embrace Repetition

Lesson 196: Embrace Repetition
To get better at anything, you have to be willing to put in the work and you have to put in a lot of reps. Repeating an act can get boring and tedious but the more you do it, the better you get at it. Each repetition, you have to be deliberate and learn from the process. Take what you learn and go into the next rep and on and on. It is slow but it is powerful.
PROMPT: What was the last thing you had to repeat? Why?

Lesson 195: Embrace Music

Lesson 195: Embrace Music
I love music. It’s so powerful. I am almost always listening to music from driving, to writing, to chilling. I learn so much from music and I know that it has the power to calm me down when things are going out of control. I hope you listen to music and you have songs for the different moods you go through. Whatever you might feel, there’s a song that can accompany that emotion and that’s a beautiful thing.
PROMPT: What was the last song you listened to? Did you enjoy it? Why?

Lesson 194: Respond Don’t React

Lesson 194: Respond Don’t React
When things happen in our lives, especially things that tick us off, we might be tempted to react and snap back. We shouldn’t. What we should do instead is to take time out for ourselves to think things through and then come up with the right response. Almost every idea that creeps into our minds when we are upset is going to be the wrong one so let those fly in and fly out. Leave the scene. Catch your breath. Think things through then come back with a response.
PROMPT: When was the last time you reacted? If you took time to respond instead, what would the response have been?

Lesson 193: Beware Of Affinity Fraud

Lesson 193: Beware Of Affinity Fraud
According to Wikipedia, Affinity fraud is a form of investment fraud in which the fraudster preys upon members of identifiable groups, such as religious or ethnic communities, language minorities, the elderly, or professional groups. The fraudsters who promote affinity scams frequently are – or successfully pretend to be – members of the group. They often enlist respected community or religious leaders from within the group to spread the word about the scheme, by convincing those people that a fraudulent investment is legitimate and worthwhile. Many times, those leaders become unwitting victims of the fraudster’s ruse. It is just pure evil. Here’s the thing, when someone, even someone in your “circle” tries to pitch you a “wonderful opportunity”, do your own investigation to find out more about it because it just might be a scam.
PROMPT: How do you shield yourself from affinity fraud?
