We should normalize taking time out for ourselves. These days people make it cool to “hustle” and you know what hey, you do need to put in work but if that’s all you do, you’ll crash. It is important to do the work, of course, by all means, put in work but always make sure you make time for yourself to breathe, to rest, to recharge.

Change is constant. As long as you are alive, things will change so even though change is scary we should get used to the fact that change will always happen. This means learning to let go of the fear of change. Yes, change is scary but it will always happen so once that fear creeps up, take a step back, breathe and tell yourself you will adapt to the change. One more thing, you don’t know, you might just enjoy the things the change brings.

Everyone that does anything with me knows that I am all about the long term. I start small and build. If we do something, it is almost always throwaway when we start. It is like bleh, whatever but you know what, once it starts, it builds bit by bit and before you know it, it’s big enough to build something else off it. I focus on the long term because it works.

We are responsible for the home we live in. At least after a certain age, you have the opportunity to build the home you want. It’s up to you to do that. If you say I want a home that is safe, that is warm, that is caring and loving, well, it’s up to you. Do the work that is required to build the home you want. It’s up to you.
