As you learn about your enemy, you might be tempted to harass them. Don’t. It will only exacerbate things. What you need to do is keep the information you’ve learned for when they come for you. Don’t harass them because you just might not have the whole picture. Stay in your lane.

PROMPT: What makes them your enemy?

There are some people that just can’t stand us and are happy with being antagonists. That’s all fine. However, once you know you have an enemy, it’s good practice to learn what you can about them.

PROMPT: How do you learn about your enemy?

When we hit a snag, there is a part of us, sometimes a large part of us, that wants to focus on the problem. What we need to do is reframe and focus on possible solutions. When you focus on the problem, you are stuck in a negative spiral. However, when you focus on solutions, you are giving yourself a chance to move towards a positive outcome. Focus on the solution and then share the solutions you come up with.

PROMPT: What was the last solution you shared?

It’s a great feeling to be liked. However, we should know that not everyone will like us. We don’t like everyone either. It’s just how life goes. In the same vein, we don’t need to have a large team to achieve amazing goals. It’s ok to cut people off, especially people that bring negativity wherever they are.

PROMPT: Who do you focus on?

Every meeting you have is an opportunity to learn something new. No matter how knowledgeable you might be, there are people that know things you don’t. It’s a good idea, then, to try to learn something new from them. No matter their age, status, language, whatever it might be, go into every meeting with an open mind, ready and willing to learn.
