Lesson 44: Whenever Possible Be The Unexpected

Being the unexpected means getting out of your comfort zone. When you stay in your comfort zone, everyone you deal with knows what to expect with you and you rarely have the opportunity to grow. To be the unexpected means you are as good as they expect you to be but with a whole lot more left in the tank for contingencies. Keep learning. Keep growing. Always make sure you have more left in the tank. #LessonsWithAKing

Lesson 43: Celebrate Life

Covid-19 has led to so many deaths and it’s scary but thankfully we are turning a corner. The thing about death/dying is that we tend to celebrate the person after they are gone. I believe we should celebrate life while the person is here. So make sure they know how much they mean to you while they are here before they are no more. #LessonsWithAKing

Lesson 42: Television Rules The Nation

If you haven’t seen the video to Daft Punk’s Television Rules The Nation, you totally should. It’s superb. It’s a video from a concert but man, awesome. That isn’t the lesson though. The lesson is simple; the media rules the world. If you control the media you pretty much control the world. So we need to filter the things we take in. I’m not for not watching any television at all, I love TV, I’m for moderation and making sure you are not consuming things that leave you feeling off. Remember, you are the captain of your life. #LessonsWithAKing

Lesson 41: Be As Cool As Crows

Crows are super cool. They are unflappable. We should aim for that in all we do. Sure life can be difficult but we have to learn to stop, take a moment to reflect before we react. If all we do is jump at everything that comes our way, we might find it difficult to achieve much. #LessonsWithAKing

Lesson 40: Don’t Try To Save A Person From Drowning If You Can’t Swim

It might seem counterintuitive but unless you want to put two people’s lives in danger, if you can’t swim, don’t try to help someone drowning. The best you can do is reach for help. If you jump in, you might both end up drowning which is not a very good outcome. #LessonsWithAKing
